From Tutorials -

3D text, Repousse
I only did the 3D text part. There's really no place for a shadow but I'll have to try that on another image. It was a little confusing following what the guy was doing but I'm pleased with the text.

Content Aware Fill

 Using Hue

 Using lighter Color
My first thought while watching this tutorial was to make eyes that had turned white but then as I was experimenting I noticed the odd RGB effect on the iris in the first image. seemed pretty cool.

I googled free Photoshop plugins and I went to some of the sites with lists, looked around quite a bit, and downloaded some plugins. Filter Forge Freepack 2 has Grunge along with some other effects and Image Skill has Outliner. Pixel Bender has an effect called Hole which I used for Kitteh Bond ;)

Layer Mask

Edit - Paste Special - Paste Into

For some reason hair is easier than fur. It's possible I was doing something wrong but I don't know what. I tried doing a hedgehog and a cat, neither successful. I was using this technique and it worked great on the above image and on another of a woman in period costume but on the animals when I used the brush nothing happened or a little bit of yuk happened. Anyway, same technique here and she looks pretty good.

I haven't done anything yet with this woman besides slap her into the picture ala a mask.

Depth of Field

Layer Blending

I layered a mirrored gradient of dark blue set to multiply on the corners to accentuate the pandas face and name. I blended duplicate layers of the background with a glowing edges filter on one of them (layer 0 between the other two) and a soft light on the top one.
I made a knockout on the word balloon. The red panda was disappearing around his dark areas so I gave him a little orange glow.

Swing Set -

Just playing around. I've discovered these things called "actions". I wasn't happy with my first couple of tries and had to close the image and bring it back up. I found some actions by googling the word along with photoshop. A lot out there; they're just short-cuts for stuff you can do without them.

Composition and Compositing

I stretched the tunnel sideways and changed the color. The color was changed on the man too after being placed in the scene.

I mainly wanted to get rid of that red cast and, more challenging, fix Marilyn's teeth. Still more to learn; not through all of this weeks videos yet.
